Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These terms govern your use of hockinghillsfirewood.com and any firewood delivery service provided by Hocking Hills Firewood ("we," "us," "our"). By ordering firewood from us, you agree to these terms. Keep them in mind — they're meant to be fair to both of us.
The service
We deliver premium seasoned firewood in 27-gallon totes to customers within our service area in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio, including Rockbridge, Logan, Sugar Grove, and surrounding communities. We reserve the right to adjust our service area, pricing, and availability at any time.
Ordering
Orders are placed by text message at (614) 607-1230. An order is confirmed only when we reply to acknowledge it and propose a delivery window. Until we confirm, no order is binding.
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and any access instructions (gate codes, cabin numbers, where to stack the wood, etc.). If we can't find or access the delivery location, we may reschedule or cancel the order.
Delivery
We deliver free of charge within our service area. Delivery windows are estimates — we do our best to hit them, but weather, road conditions, and schedule changes can affect timing. If your delivery is going to be significantly delayed, we'll let you know.
When we deliver, the totes are placed in a reasonable location at or near your cabin or property. You do not need to be present for delivery unless you've asked us to coordinate a specific meeting time.
Product quality
We take quality seriously. Every piece of firewood we deliver is hand-inspected and properly seasoned, with moisture content typically below twenty percent. If you receive wood that does not meet that standard, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will make it right — either by replacing the questionable pieces, adjusting your order, or refunding the affected portion.
Payment
Payment terms are agreed to at the time your order is confirmed. We currently accept common payment methods coordinated by email. When online ordering launches on this site, payment will be processed at checkout through a standard payment processor.
Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel an order for any reason before we dispatch it — just email us. Once the wood is loaded and on the way, cancellation isn't always possible, but we'll work with you on a case-by-case basis. Quality-related refunds are handled as described under "Product quality" above.
Use of firewood
Firewood is for use in properly maintained fire rings, fireplaces, fire pits, wood stoves, and similar appliances. You are responsible for following all local fire ordinances, burn bans, and safety practices. Never leave a fire unattended, always have water or another means to extinguish nearby, and respect dry-weather restrictions issued by local authorities.
Liability
We provide firewood; you provide the fire. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any damage, injury, or loss arising from the use of our firewood, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, chimney fires, or damage caused by fire spreading beyond its intended container. Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.
Website use
This website is provided as-is. The brand name, logo, photography, and content are the property of Hocking Hills Firewood and may not be copied or reused without permission. The fire status system shown on this site is provided for convenience and is not a guarantee of availability.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the site or our service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
